Home of the world-famous Orgy season, WHRB is one of Boston s oldest radio stations, WHRB brings the creativity, intellect, and risk-taking abilities of Harvard s student body to bear on nearly all genres of music. On weekdays, WHRB programming includes The Jazz Spectrum (5:00AM-1:00PM), Classical Music (1:00PM-10:00PM), and Record Hospital (10:00PM-5:00AM). On weekends, WHRB broadcasts The Darker Side (underground hip-hop, techno, funk, soul, electronica, and reggae), Blues Hangover, Hillbilly at Harvard, and additional Classical Music and Jazz Spectrum programs. The New York Times has hailed WHRB s Orgy season as "idealistic and interesting," adding that "the WHRB Orgies represent a triumph of musical research, imagination, and passion." Orgy season occurs twice a year, during Harvard s exam period. The programming during Orgy season consists of long blocks of themed music.
